After spending the better part of a decade locked in a law library, I decided to become a freelance writer. I am a frequent contributor to Lexington’s Ace Weekly magazine, and specialize in essays about Southern life. I am a devoted fan of the University of Kentucky’s basketball and football teams. I am also the founder and editor of HerKentucky, a collective of Kentucky women bloggers.
